Services Available (updated January 2024)
Cornell Users
- We support and prioritize access, reference, and reproduction requests from current Cornell students and employees.
- We provide basic bibliographic records and conservation assessment for urgent cases along with safe storage of collections already in our holdings.
- Access to collections that lack a collection guide (box or folder description) require special arrangements made well in advance of a projected research visit. Please contact the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections well ahead of a projected research visit to make inquiry.
Non-Cornell Users
- We respond to e-mailed reference questions
- We respond to reproduction requests
- We provide basic bibliographic records and conservation assessment for urgent cases along with safe storage of collections already in our holdings.

Services that are Delayed (updated January 2023)
- While we anticipate delays in providing full description or immediate access to new and under-described collections, we do provide basic bibliographic records for most of our collections.
Services That are Paused (updated November 2022)
- We are unable to commit to any new digitization projects until description and access capacities have increased.
